MOLSON INDY VANCOUVER

Vancouver, B.C., September 1:
Vancouver is the third most popular tourist destination in North America. The reason is not hard to understand. Could there be any other place in the world where you can be skiing on top of a mountain in the morning, and sailing the ocean after lunch. It is in this magnificent city that the fourteenth round of the CART Indy car series takes place. A race that sweeps through the bast bends around the B.C. Place Stadium and along the water front on Pacific Blvd.

There are a wealth of activities and attractions to choose from. The ultra modern Science World and Harbor Centre are a must to visit. As is the 15 minute Skyride up Grouse Mountain. It offers breathtaking views of land, sea and the city of Vancouver. A metropolis of 1.7 million, with picturesque parks, a varied cultural scene and intriguing ethnic neighborhoods. Vancouver boasts the second largest China Town in North America - the perfect place to enjoy your favorite Chinese dinner during the exciting race weekend. There are also thriving Italian, Greek, Indo-Pakistani and Japanese communities offering shopping and dining to suit everyone's tastes. From casual Italian bistros to cozy English pubs, from East Indian cafes to Korean eateries, from Sushi bars to elegant seafood restaurants, this city has it all.

This is such a beautiful area to visit you may want to extend this Labor Day weekend to explore greater Vancouver or Vancouver Island. Take a 90 minute cruise through the Gulf Islands to Vancouver Island and on to Victoria, the capitol of B.C. Then again, you might want to explore the lofty Pacific coastal mountains that overlook Vancouver.

A marvelous weekend or just the start of a Canadian vacation.
