The Mighty Masters of Power-Metal have reunited as Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are joined by original members, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley on drums and guitar. Vocals on Beth are handled by Peter Criss and Ace gets to let his guitar rip on several classic Kiss cuts. Look for this great sounding album to hit the street March 12th.

This is a suite inspired by the writings of Arthur C. Clarke, in particular, Clarke's book, "The Songs of Distant Earth". Additionally, this CD comes to you in enhanced CD format that has a CD ROM track for MacIntosh included with the regular audio tracks. Try to crack the code.

We told you this album was coming back in July,'95. Jack Douglas is at the Helm of this production, which is an amalgam of the Hostel Records release along with other touches a Skipper like Douglas can add to the mix. Darrel Leonard and Joe Sublett, a.k.a. The Texacali Horns add an extra touch of flavor to several tracks.

There Will be a Bunch of people waiting to get in to where EVER this band is playing when GK finally makes it out West.
The club scene mostly east of the Mississippi is gorging itself on GK's writhing, pulsing, intelligent riffing.
If A&R and Promotion for this band combine forces for a successful campaign, I don't see anything holding this band back in terms of presence on the charts with the amount of Radio Ready materiel I've heard on this intense album.
Or...just have the Program Directors at the stations look up and listen to the ILPs to follow.

Play this album at maximum volume and turn on your neighbors to a hot band! This band has got IT. Lots of delicious tunes, tasty Juno-60 licks, intelligent and cooperative guitar riffing, very smart drumming and shimmering cymbal work. There's a real, real healthy bottom on this album that pillowcases your eardrums. The vocals are sultry and earnest. The big fixes for me are Counting Blue Cars, and Charlie Brown's Parents. One of the Great Listening pleasures of 1996!

Gary Moore Charisma Records America/Virgin. NR Blues For Greeny
Moore lets Peter Green's 1959 Les Paul talk with the tone Green employed during his years with The Bluesbreakers and Fleetwood Mac.. Peter Green had a deep Mojo that Moore admirably recollects on this album. This is sort of a thank you album from Moore to Green for handing down the mighty axe upon Green's retirement from music. Check out the hand on the fretboard of the Les Paul in the liner notes photo. Whose hand is that? It looks like it has not dug into the strings of a guitar for a long time based on the length of the finger nails. I wonder if that hand has Mojo...

This band is sort of the New York City version of Santa Barbara's Dishwalla. I'd love to see the two bands tour together this Summer. I think they would take the crowds to Juno-60 heaven.

Iggy Pop's music appeals to my Brooklyn-born, New York sense of humor. When I first came to LA, I couldn't help but notice what complete pussies people out here on the West Coast are...no offense intended, but the West Coast has no clue regarding the versatile use of the word, FUCK.
I've since toned down my use of the word, FUCK, so I can peacefully coexist with the sensitive society out here.
All this is to say that when I heard Pussy Walk, the Brooklyn came out of me, I laughed my loud, booming, obnoxious New York laugh and said, You're FUCKIN'-A Right, Iggy!

All the artists are pretty current as far as distribution to the street is concerned. You will, however, have to wait for Becky Barksdale which should come out in early Fall. Becky's worth the wait.
